(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - Thanks for a forward-thinking furniture designer, the next time you move homes, you may want to consider buying furniture that can move itself.
The newest rage is known as walking furniture by
Dutch designer Wouter Scheublin, has created "walking furniture," which included a table that has legs that move in a walking motion.
If you want to reorganize the furniture in your place, with little effort, a slight lift and push of the top of this innovative table, the furniture will walk itself across the floor to the exact spot you direct it to.
As seen in a viral video of Scheublin's "Walking Table" ’ that was displayed at the Design Miami exhibition in 2009 ’ it's no wonder this walking furniture has gotten attention with over 157,000 views.
Another hot item by Scheublin is a "Walking Bookcase," as seen on OunoDesign.com , that with a push has a walking platform with legs that "carry the object along using a complex system of cranks, links and connecting rods."
The bookcase was actually commissioned by Wallpaper* Magazine for its handmade issue in July.
"We asked him to create a similarly mobile bookcase [to the "Walking Table" to store the Wallpaper* City Guides," said the description under the image of the bookcase on the website.
The furniture designer's entire handmade collection that dates back to 2004 can be found on Scheublin's website .
