Wing Bowl Fans Heavily Boo Snooki

PHILADELPHIA - (MyFox Philly) – There was an ugly situation at Friday's Wing Bowl in Philadelphia as the crowd of 20,000 heavily booed “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

Competitive eating fans apparently like their annual event more than the tiny “Guidette.”

Snooki was booed heavily every time her image was shown on a giant TV screen at the Wachovia Center.

According to people at the Wing Bowl, Snooki reacted with a Jersey-style hand salute.

Several fans interviewed by Frederick said they resented Polizzi's presence at the event.

“I am happy to get Snooki off TV,” said one annoyed fan.

Other fans interviewed by Fox 29 said Snooki was annoying and not cute.

Snooki spoke to Frederick and seemed to take it all in stride.

The crowd also momentarily stopped booing when Snooki road a mechanical bull as part of the event.

Polizzi is reportedly getting $10,000 at the event in Philadelphia.

The event is now a Philadelphia tradition, with its weird mix of chicken wings, pre-event partying at 6 a.m. and risqué moments.
