Three Indicted on Criminal Animal Abuse Charges

Stems from PETA Investigation

LEWISBURG -

Three former workers at a Greenbrier County turkey farm have been indicted on criminal animal abuse charges.

25-year-old Walter Hambrick of Fairlea, 33-year-old Scott White of Second Creek and 21-year-old Edward Gwinn of Crawley were indicted on 19 criminal counts.

Eleven of the charges are felonies.

The three worked for Aviagen Turkeys when video was released allegedly showing them abusing birds.

The three were fired shortly after the tape surfaced.
